This year’s MRO Europe 2025 at ExCeL London delivered another record-breaking event for the aviation maintenance community — and a fantastic opportunity for the SafeSmart Access team to showcase how smarter access solutions are shaping the industry’s future.
Showcasing the Height-Adjustable EasyRaise
One of the highlights for us was demonstrating our height-adjustable EasyRaise platform. Designed to help MRO teams work safer and more efficiently across a range of aircraft platforms, the EasyRaise allows operators to raise or lower the platform effortlessly — giving technicians the access they need without compromising on safety or setup speed.
Across the show, we heard a consistent message from visitors: MRO operations need more adaptable, ergonomic equipment that can keep up with evolving aircraft designs, tighter turnaround expectations, and increasingly complex maintenance environments. EasyRaise fits that need perfectly, and the positive response reinforced that the industry is ready for smarter access solutions.
What We Saw Across the Industry
Despite the growing demand for innovation, we still noticed a familiar trend: Many contractors and businesses continue to rely on traditional height-access solutions — fixed platforms, ladders, and non-adjustable systems that weren’t built for today’s dynamic MRO workflows.
This gap between legacy equipment and modern operational needs is becoming more noticeable as:
- Aircraft designs become more complex, requiring tailored access rather than one-size-fits-all structures
- Safety expectations continue to rise, putting pressure on teams to eliminate risky workarounds
- Efficiency demands increase, with operators needing equipment that saves both time and labour
Across fixed-wing access, aircraft docking, and general maintenance stands, we saw a clear opportunity for better-engineered, height-adjustable, modular solutions that make technicians’ jobs safer, easier, and more productive.
Where the Industry Is Heading
From conversations with MRO teams, suppliers, and aviation leaders, several themes emerged that will shape the next few years:
- Adaptability will become essential, not optional
- Ergonomics and technician safety will continue to rise in priority
- Modular, future-ready access systems will replace traditional, static equipment
- Sustainability and long-term lifecycle value will influence procurement choices
- Data-driven maintenance will shape how equipment is designed and deployed
It’s clear that the future of MRO isn’t just about maintaining aircraft — it’s about creating smarter environments where technicians can work faster and safer.
Looking Ahead to MRO Europe 2026
We’re already looking forward to MRO Europe 2026 and to seeing how the industry continues to evolve. With new technologies emerging, rising operational pressures, and increasing demand for safer access solutions, we’re excited to keep working alongside the MRO community to lead the way in smarter, safer, more efficient aircraft maintenance.
Until then, thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand — our team can’t wait to meet you again next year at MRO Europe 2026!
